For decades, I believed that drive, discipline and output were the same as health. I built companies across multiple continents, flew red-eyes between time zones, ate late, slept little, and treated my body the way many of us do when building — as something to push rather than a system to maintain.
I applied the same methodology I use to turn around distressed companies. I treated my own biology as a broken system requiring a structured turnaround — not willpower, data. I sourced research from hundreds of global experts across metabolic medicine, endocrinology, chronobiology, nutrition science, longevity research and behavioural science.
Then I became my own experiment — tracking every meal, glucose response, blood marker, bio-impedance scale readings, sleep cycle and stress pattern. I documented everything in journals and built MRRRU from those journals.

“If you exercise enough, you can eat anything”
Exercise cannot outrun a chronically elevated insulin environment. You can burn 300 calories in 40 minutes and spike glucose 6 points with one wrong meal. Metabolic repair requires food AND movement — not one as permission for the other.
Myth
“Fruit is healthy so eat as much as you want”
Tropical fruits — mango, watermelon, pineapple — can spike glucose as aggressively as refined sugar for metabolically compromised individuals. Timing, context and phase matter enormously.
Myth
“Type 2 diabetes is not reversible”
The founder moved from HbA1c 8.3% to 5.3% in 5 months without GLP-1 medication. Clinical evidence supports metabolic reversal through food, fasting and movement interventions — particularly in early-to-mid stage T2D.

“Low fat = heart healthy”
Low-fat products typically replace fat with sugar or refined starch — both metabolic destabilisers. HDL improves with healthy fats (olive oil, avocado, omega-3). The founder's HDL went from 36 to 55.2 mg/dL by reintroducing good fats.

“Eating late only matters if you overeat”
Circadian insulin sensitivity peaks mid-morning. The same meal eaten at 7pm vs 8am produces meaningfully different glucose responses in most people. Eating timing is as important as eating content.
Myth
“Stress has nothing to do with blood sugar”
Cortisol triggers hepatic glucose release. High-stress periods can raise fasting glucose by 1–2 mmol/L without eating anything. The stress-glucose loop is one of the most underdiagnosed drivers of HbA1c elevation in executives and founders.
